I am having a slight problem using gnu make ver.3.54 My makefile calls a program that when run from sun os make works fine. But, when run from gnu make, the program runs but never exits. When putting the process in the background, you can see that gnu make has started the program and that program has spawned a process that is 'exiting'. Does gnu make spawn child processes in a different way than sun make? Any help would be appreciated, because I need to use features of gnu make. Thanks James Landay landay@ardent.com or landay@cory.berkeley.edu
