texinfo-format-buffer barfs on gas.texinfo

Configuration: Sun3/50, OS 3.5, emacs 18.53 and
  gas.texinfo from pub/gnu/gas-doc.tar.Z on prep.ai.mit.edu.
Symptom: texinfo-format complains that it can't handle @ps.

Fix: removing the single occurance of @sp in the body of the text
seems to keep texinfo-format-buffer happy.
