On our system, staff members have first name accounts, which can cause some havoc when dealing with finger; if someone types 'finger jason', they will get a listing of all the Jason's on the system. If they only want to look at my entry, they can type 'finger -m jason'. This is a very useful option, but 1.36 treats it the same as -l. Similarly, -p tells finger not to display .plan or .project files, whereas GNU finger wants it to specify the port number. Are these options not standard? They are present in SunOS 4.1.2... There are various other options missing as well. -- Jason Merrill
