Hi:

I install the GNU utilities with a 'g' prefix (eg. gln, gls, gmv, etc.). However
when I attempt to do a 'make install' with binprefix = 'g', the following part of
the installation fails:

nobugs:fileutils-3.2 (treed): make install
for dir in lib src man; do echo making install in $dir; cd $dir; make
bindir='/usr/local/gnu/bin' libdir='/usr/local/gnu/lib'
mandir='/usr/local/gnu/man/man1'  manext='1' binprefix='g' manprefix='g'  LIBS=''
LIBPROGS='' AR='ar' RANLIB='ranlib '  CFLAGS='-g -O -I. -I../lib -I./lib
-DHAVE_LIMITS_H -DMOUNTED_GETMNTENT1 -DSTAT_STATFS2_BSIZE -DSTDC_HEADERS
-DMKFIFO_MISSING -DUTIME_NULL_MISSING' LDFLAGS='-g' LIBS='' CC='cc' install; cd
..; done
making install in lib
making install in src
[ "x" = x ] || ./ginstall -o root -m 4755  /usr/local/gnu/lib
for f in chgrp chown chmod cp dd du ginstall ln dir vdir ls mkdir mkfifo mknod mv
rm rmdir touch df; do ./ginstall $f /usr/local/gnu/bin/g$f; done
cd /usr/local/gnu/bin; ./ln -f dir d; ./ln -f vdir v; ./mv -f ginstall install
sh: ./ln: not found
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.

Of course this fails because there is no './ln' or './mv'. I've made the
following change to src/Makefile:

install: all
        [ "x$(LIBPROGS)" = x ] || ./ginstall -o root -m 4755 $(LIBPROGS) $(libdir)
        for f in $(PROGS); do ./ginstall $$f $(bindir)/$(binprefix)$$f; done
        cd $(bindir); ./$(binprefix)ln -f dir d; ./$(binprefix)ln -f vdir v;
./$(binprefix)mv -f ginstall install
.PHONY: install
