In the gnu graphics documentation is mentioned that the output of
plot2ps can be edited by idraw. Current version of idraw (3.x) do not
have that capability.

Can this be fixed?

Yes, in fact it has been and will be in the next release.  I can't
make any promices, but this is a compelling reason to get a new
release out.  I'll follow up when I can provide something stable.  Rich
