Examination of push_ring_buffer() in gprof.c shows that it doesn't
handle the case of:

 buf->push_to_here+1 == buf->pop_frm_here && buf->push_to_here != buf->buf

properly.

(The latest ChangeLog entry in the binutils I have is Dec 29, '88)
