In GNU diff 2.0 documentation, -LINES is declared to be obsolescent. Let me suggest implementing a new `-U LINES' meaning `--unified=LINES' to parallel the fact that `-C LINES' means `--context=LINES'. One should not ought to recourse to full option names nor obsolescent features just for specifying a number of context lines for unidiffs. -- Franc, ois Pinard ``Vivement GNU!'' pinard@iro.umontreal.ca (514) 588-4656 ...!uunet!iros1!pinard About the League for Programming Freedom?
