Adding specific keywords to search-engine searches can not only
narrow-down search results, but may infer emerging trends in any
subject matter. What can be described as inferential scanning,
environmental scanning, or content-analysis is basically detecting
'semantic anomalies' in content.

This process of 'detecting semantic anomalies' can also be
described as intuitive fishing of patterns of information: the sort of
signatures individuals, businesses, etc. inadvertently create in a
digital society.

Another good description of inferring 'semantic anomalies' are
'nodal points' described as "emergent systems of history," "the
shapes from which history emerges," in "vast flows of undifferentiated
data"; "strung along lines that are histories of the happened
becoming the not-yet."

Science-Fiction Author William Gibson (who actually coined the term
'Cyberspace') described a character in his novel Idoru as an
'intuitive fisher of patterns of information.' Information
consultant Richard Thieme also describes 'nodal points.' (SEE
LINKS)

I've developed a list of keywords which may infer emerging trends.'
I've also included current and recent dates in the search query
(example notation typed as "January, * 2005" or "February, *
2005" to infer up-to-date content) One simple example of a keyword is
'trend toward' (SEE LINKS).

Entering in the keyword 'trend toward' as part of a search-engine
query lists search-results; inferring content which may signal both
growing industry / professional developments, as well as the public
zeitgeist. In some cases, search results yield specialty websites that
are fee-only and even restricted access content. In many cases,
'false hits' result as content that mentions the words 'trend
toward' does not necessarily have tangible values.

Has GOOGLE had experience in assessing 'inferential scanning' as a
potentially valuable search-engine addition? I may present the list of
specific keywords (which may be helpful) in inferring emerging trends
to GOOGLE in hope that they may find these keywords of value.
