DATE Thursday, November 12, 1992 TIME 4:30-6:00 P.M. PLACE 3400 Boelter Hall Cookies & Coffee Will Be Served Starting at 4:00 PM CONCURRENT ENGINEERING John T. Boardman Marconi Professor of Systems Engineering University of Portsmouth, UK ABSTRACT The major tennet of this lecture is that a concurrent engineering framework (CEF) can most effectively be portrayed using a systems diagram methodology. This would provide the means of describing interactions between processes, and would further enable engineers, managers and corporate strategists to understand quickly and simply the rationale for concurrency in any given project.
