i am looking to buy a .22, lowend on the price scale (<$200)

was recommended the Ruger 10/22, and i like the block clip, but it feels
small when held sort of like an air gun

i liked a Savage, which had a regular clip, but it was made of metal and not
synthetic

anybody got some advice?

thanks

I like the 10/22 because you can buy so many aftermarket gizmos for it.It's
a very accurate and reliable gun right out of the box.But add a heavy
barrel and get a good trigger job and it's hard to beat.I've also heard
good things about the Remington 597.Haven't fired this one yet.

BY THE RUGER

I have had one Ruger 10/22 or another over the last 20 years and never, never
never has any one failed to operate perfectly.

The gun is small because it is a carbine. This makes for easy carry and quick
targeting.

You can pick up a good used ruger 10/22 for around 115 dollars or less.

If you want a good fun plinker, also check out the Marlin 39AS lever action.
Used they are around 225.00 dollars.
