Well, for myself the heart lies in Manitoba and Alberta. Given the chance, I would go back, if I could. I'm from the prairies. But I have read something on the Calgary Herald that really pissed me off: SAIT (Southern Alberta Instittue of Technology) was going to roll back wages for all non-unionized cafeteria emlployees back by 3.50 per hour! You read right! So instead of making 9.75, they'd be making ONE CENT more than minimum wage. Makes me sick reading that. I hope the director of S.A.I.T. has a career-wakeup, and discovers what plight these poor workers are in. ][sildur's Bane "Adventure makes the soul grow bold at the thought of danger" On Sun, 23 Nov 2003 07:49:41 GMT, Duh <duh!@home.com> wrote: >On Fri, 21 Nov 2003 10:03:18 -0400, "Chris" <iwchris@hfx.eastlink.ca> >wrote: > >>Perhaps you should rethink your point of view... >> >>http://vancouver.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=bc_work20031119 >> >>A new study examining the quality of life across Canada has put B.C. near >>the bottom of the list, saying there is a culture in the province that >>forces a choice between work and family. >> >>It found that employees in B.C. are more likely to be single, or blame work >>demands for not having children. >> [SNIP]
