You're confusing "women's interests" with your interests.
Is it in "women's interests" to have huge amounts of resources
wasted hunting imaginary rapists?

You have little to do in life other than rant inaccurately
about your twisted view of the world, one in which women 
live in constant fear, and male perpetrators lurk around
every dark corner.

Hence, your interest is in trolling the internet with your
outdated quotes from Women's Studies classes, hoping to 
arouse hostility from outraged readers, so that you can
then claim you were offended, wounded, victimized, etc.,
and gain a fair measure of revenge against the intelligent,
accomplished, rational people of the world.

Rational people would ignore you, except that we have found
that, by ignoring the kind of misandrist nonsense you post, we are
giving it credence by default.

Women's interests are served by having honest, open access
to the world, and not by having a paranoid, incorrect view
of the world.

Now that's a classic example of Amero Logic in action. 

First, the "estimate" of "only about 10%" has been widely discredited.
It is a complete myth. 

But even a 9th grader could tell you that both the above statistics
*could* be true simultaneously. Problem is, your 10% has been
discredited, while mine is supported by hard evidence, published
in reputable places.

But, perhaps more important, the whole notion that rape is a prevalent
crime, and that a substantial minority of women, as many as 25%, have
been raped or sexually assaulted in their lifetime is also false, an
artifactual finding resulting from bad research procedures.

Burt showed nothing, because this isn't a myth...it has been verified
in two independent studies... Burt, I suspect, simply did a study
showing a certain multivariate structure of attitudes. This has
nothing to do with showing that anything was a myth. Feminists
think that by labeling attitudes "myths," they can automatically
discredit them. Some feminists have said "women never lie about rape."
Now, *there* is a real rape myth.

The studies of fabricated rape allegations were ones in which women
themselves *admitted* in writing what they did, and why. They
volunteered the explanations. They made the original false
accusations. Ask anyone who works in law enforcement. There are high
profile cases of such fabrications all the time.

For example, just very recently, a woman whose claims of rape 
and abduction had prompted a very extensive [and expensive]
police manhunt admitted the whole thing was a fabrication.
Did the police put her in jail? No. Did they make her pay
anything? Not that I know of. Women get away
scot-free with this behavior most of the time. Until
we get strict legal penalties in place, this will continue,
and a fair number of innocent [completely innocent] men
will be rounded up and put in jail.
