A blind leap of faith, choosing to ignore any possible evidence that may show up to the contrary. The argument applies to both sides. Black and white, heads and tails. For everything that is believed, there will always be at least 1 person who has never heard of it and at least 1 person who believes it's polar opposite, no matter how much proof and evidence may be presented against them. There will always be some level of balance. The more people there are that believe something, the less they have to believe it, to keep hold of their 50% weight. If there's just 1 person who believes God is a sardine on some moldy old pizza that talks to him and that the earth is an inverse loop, which there most certainly is, SOMEWHERE, that's all it takes to balance out all those who believe otherwise. That 1 fool will believe it to the ends of the earth, no matter what is brought to him to say or point out otherwise.
