See, Greg Carr decides what everyone else is allowed to know, and he
even decides what you and I CARE about.

Thank you Greg Carr.  That is why EVERYONE comes to usenet.
Because it is a nice controlled, censored , compartmentalized
GROUPTHINK
environment.  Surely that is appeal of usenet, for those who still use
it after
all of these years.  They come to see insightful control posts like
this one
from Greg Carr.  What's more, THESE people are in the majority. After
all,
there are SO MANY of them.    And they always have time to post
just one-or-two sentence responses.

Another thing, these groupthink people, who surely and apparently make
up the majority of usenet users,  are always so full of cheer, brimming
with joy, so much so that they are frequently overtaken  with
irrepressible urges to LOL, ROTFLMAO .  This is the profile of the
usenet user after all.
There are no other censored, dull, mainstream repositories of 'meant
for the consumption of the general public' ignorance that would likely
be more attractive to such people.
Television just does not do it for them. Likewise videos.
No. Groupthink adherents, average Joe's , like nothing more than to
frequent USENET, and BE IN THE MAJORITY HERE, because average Joe's
like Joe always have a computer, always feel inclined to compulsively
cruise newsgroups , blogs, and discussion forums, and obsessively
ENFORCE AVERAGE JOE GROUPTHINK on everyone.
They do not prefer magazines from 7-Eleven or watching football games
or hockey.
No, what average Joes nd Janes really and truly desire is the
uncensored, esoteric, and eclectic.
They enjoy sitting motionless in front of a computer, expending the
extra effort to get these rare, important, and urgent 'kook alert, LOL'
 messages out to everyone.  They know the importance of this, and to
them, yes E AVERAGE and JANE SOCCERBOOBS,
it is of utmost priority to also spread 'PUT YOUR TINFOIL HAT ON KUKE
ROTFLMAO! as far and as wide as possible.
It really all makes sense when you think about it. Not.
