Miyako (as others have posted already). Means "cherry", as in tree.
Right? Anybody?
|It is good but the portions are smaller, and appropriately cheaper.

Oh, too bad. I haven't been to the new location yet, but the old one
in the Village had a bar. No bar in the new one?
|Recipie:
|seaweed wrapper
|rice
|cucumber sliced lengthwise
|avacado sliced lengthwise
|immitation crap strips
Yuck! (Sorry, couldn't help it.)
|roll and cut into 1/2" thick servings
|serve with soy sauce, green horseradish, and ginger.
Hmm, from what I've seen and heard, the main obstacles to qwik'n'eezy
sushi-at-home are: insufficient knowledge of raw fish on part of cook,
inadequate knife (sushi knives are pretty specialized), and unsuitable
rice. (The first two are not a factor for California or cucumber or
"spider", etc., rolls.) So the Chinese takeout rice worked fine?
(This is a great idea; thanks Pat. Somehow, because I know I can't
get fresh enough fish, I had given up on all home sushi.)
