Good Restaurant between Houston and Austin?

My birthmother and the Houston and Austin members of a mailing list she's
on are planning to get together to discuss some issues of common interest
in the next few weeks. They'd like to meet somewhere between the two
cities, but can't come up with any good places to eat. Does anyone have any
ideas for good restaurants on either of the major routes between the two
cities? They'd like to get together on a Sunday afternoon, so the
restaurant would have to be open then...

Thanks!
