Are there any groceries in Houston specializing in import Italian foods?
I don't mean Central Market or Mandola's.
Something more along the lines of Jimmy's in Dallas.
Thanks!

Phoenicia has a fair amount of Italian products.

Can you be a trifle more specific? (I'm from Austin.)

RE: Nundini's What sort of stuff do they have? Sausages? Cheese? Olives? Bacala? Or more canned goods pasta, olives, capers, that sort of thing? Anything frozen, like ravioli? Intrigued... I'm still looking for my Bono Olive oil--- can't find anyone who carries it locally. It used to be Bonolio, but now it's just Bono. It tasted like bananas----my all time favorite EV olive oil. http://www.bonolio.it/html/uk/htm/prod.htm

Nor did I take it as insult. I was just thinking, "Gee, I *have* been by
there!"
Again, thanks.

They have some cured cheese but I do not remember any pecorino. Certainly olives & canned goods but I do not remember anything frozen except the gelatto. Then again, I wasn't looking for that. As an aside Phoenicia has some vacuum packed gnocchi. I know it cannot be the home made thing but it was good. >
