For those of us with kitchens, I agree with the posts that the best pizzas are homemade. With enough time, a homemade crust is the way to go, but for quick and dirty HM pizzas, these are what we do: 1. The "poppin fresh" cans of pizza dough in the dairy case About $1.50 for 12" thin crust 2. Bobalimas (sp) or whatever they are - About $3.00 for 12" thick crust (less at Sam's) 3. Three Brother's Bakery (on Braeswood past stella link) flat onion bread; available on Sunday's. Similar to a Boba, without the pre-baked chesse. About $1.25 for 9" thick crust. The onion bread are nice, cause we dress them up, cut them in half and cook them in a toaster oven; avoiding heating the house. Enough for 2 weight conscious 40 year olds. They alse freeze well (pre-topping). We also occasionally get the generic frozen pepperoni and then doctor them up - chiefly the 16 year old's dinner. He also likes Little Ceasars...... Any other quick and dirty pizza ideas? I (almost) agree with the post of "no bad pizzas," but I can't forget that THING I had in a bar in College Station one time - took a lot of dollar long necks to get that down. | This space available for | My Inner Child | | brilliant insight. | was kidnapped | | | by gypsies | | Scot Carpenter RCTE4@Jetson.uh.edu |
