This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------050606020302090603080509 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit As I travel around Texas, I see a growing number of mexican taco stands popping up in parking lots of major businesses. Im sure you've seen them too, but have you considered the quality of the food at these establishments? Most are temporary buildings, and some even have extension cords powering the shack or old travel trailer. Using any kind of extension cord for power in this situation is a violation of most city and county electrical codes. Normally, this violation would be a sure fire way of getting the nasty eyesore shut down, but I have spoken with Harris County several times, and it appears that county officials are allowing mexicans, often illegal aliens, to skirt the law. How clean can these joints be when most do not have hot running water, or dishwashers? Do they operate within the Dept. of Health rules? Do you believe these road side shacks and travel trailers dump unsold food each day and start fresh each morning with all new meat items? Why are Harris County officials allowing mexicans to skirt the laws and put the publics health at risk? I've contacted Steve Radack. Commissioner, Precinct 3 on several occasions about the fact that these temporary buildings are not following health dept. rules, and are powered by mere extension cords, but it seems that Steve isn't interested in law violations or the health of his constituents. Commissioner Radack usually is very responsive, and a nice person to talk to, but he's not listening on this issue. Maybe its too politically incorrect for him to help enforce laws that affect illegal aliens. Here is how you can contact Commissioner Radack. Maybe he will listen to you! So what is your agenda? What should be in question is whether or not the premise is valid. Are there unlicensed food vendors serving under the conditions as described or not? If so, why are the rules not enforce? Doesn't matter WHO is serving or selling the food but just are the conditions as stated and are they ignored. Does your response mean that it is against the rules to bring up a problem IF the predominance of infractions involve a given a specific group of people? ----------------------- On topic, I usually grill those jumbo shrimp after cutting the into portions.

Some here are confusing taco trucks with taco stands. I am talking
about taco stands only. I have spoken with Harris County officials who
have already stated that operating these temporary buildings with
extension cords is ILLEGAL. My point is that the fact that most of
these stands do not have hot water, and dishwashers that make use of
that hot water, as well as the fact that they are operated by dangerous
extension cords that could electrocute anyone who steps near them in one
of our Turd Floater down pours. Of course, some here like Private
Screwball don't care one thing about your safety. He only wants us to
look the other way so that his favorite minority group is given favored
status.
