Have you noticed lately that all of the tort reform commercials or
PSAs' have disappeared? Only a short while back, tort reform was a big
deal. Various groups were calling for reform because so many legal
cases were awarding huge sums of money to the defendant and, of course,
his attorney.
Could it be that the tort reform groups have been asked to be quiet
for awhile so that Dan Morales and others can rape the tabacco
companies?
What will you think the next time you see the tort reform PSAs'
telling you that something must be done to stop law suit abuses?

That must be what you're talking about since this is an area concerned with foods and eatting out. Political view points meerly cause nausea here.

Actually, it has to do with the recent rise in consumer
insurance rates, which were supposed to *down* if the
insurance companies got the tort reform they demanded.
So now the consumers get the worst of both worlds -
artificial limits on what damages a jury can award them,
and higher insurance bills to boot.
There are a lot of us that are in a position to say "We told
you this would happen....."

I'll think "Hmmm. People who oppose tort reform are also nasty spammers who have no manners, so maybe these tort supporters are worth listening to."
