DB2/MVS v4 to v6 migration?

Does anyone know if it will be possible to migrate straight from DB2/MVS v4
to v6, missing out v5?

The Early Code would need to be able to run both versions, as they would
have to co-exist on the same machine.

After a period of too much activity because of y2k testing, we are about to
enter a period of no changes until the end of the year because of y2k. I am
wondering if we could then catch up by jumping v5!

Thanks

Martin

Install V5 and install the SPE's. IBM is making some of the V6
functions available in V5 with the latest maintenance. Each release of
DB2 requires a CATMAINT job to pick up changes between releases.
Unless you unloaded all your data, authorizations, etc in V4 and then
created a new catalog on V6 and then put all your stuff back you need
to go V4, V5, and then V6. The other way is not recommended as you
should go to V5 so you can get familiar with the incremental
improvements.
