THE 2nd IEEE CONFERENCE ON CONTROL APPLICATIONS Le Meridien Vancouver Hotel, Vancouver, Canada September 13--16, 1993 --------------------------------------- The second IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA) is being sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society to emphasize control applications. The CCA'93 will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the Meridien Vancouver Hotel on September 13--16, 1993. For further information, contact the General Chairman: Dr. Guy A. In accordance with the theme of the Conference, papers presenting original work in all aspects of theoretical and practical control applications are invited. Papers describing truly industrial applications, and industrial contributions are particularly encouraged. Because of the Conference location, applications in the resource industries are particularly welcome. Topics for the regular sessions include, but are not limited to: Adaptive control; Aerospace systems; Automotive systems Biomedical systems; Computer-aided design; Expert systems Fault tolerance; Fuzzy systems; Manufacturing systems Man/machine interface; Modeling and identification; Nonlinear systems Physiological systems; Power electronics; Power systems Process control; Robust control; Robotics The 2nd CCA Program Committee invites the authors to submit 5 copies of complete manuscripts for regular papers or 5 copies of extended summaries for brief papers. The first page of each manuscript must contain the title of the paper, author's names and affiliations, and 4 keywords. The manuscript should be sent to: Dr. Clarence de Silva, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of British Columbia, 2324 Main Mall, Vancouver, BC, Canada, V6T 1Z4. Prospective organizers should contact Dr. Sirish Shah to obtain the forms for invited sessions.
