Hello Help for Network Design Algorithms and Methods!!!! I am working on a project to design telecomunication networks. I found in the book "Data Networks " by Dimitri Bertsekas and Robert Gallagher (1987) the description of the Capacity Assignment Problem. There are a formal Description and a heuristic algorithm given. Now I have a question. Do you know other papers or books which describe this kind of problems (Design of Backbone - Network based on traffic matrices). Also I would like to get in concact with people working in thies area to discuss problems and questions. My interests are specially in people working with operation research methods and on the other side with artificial intelligence methods. My question is, how these two techniques can be used to design in a efficient way cost-effective telecommunication networks. I enjoy all the information you can provide me. Thanks a lot.
