Boy, those so-called religious parties are really protecting Judaism,
aren't they? Or are they just protecting their pockets by cooperating
with the apostate heretical Zionist regime?

>** 1. YESHIVA EXEMPTION RULED ILLEGAL

>An 11 judge panel in the Israeli High Court ruled today that the
>exemption from army service given to Yeshiva students is illegal.

>The exemption, which has existed since the creation of the State, was
>never formally legislated and has been authorized every year by the
>Defense Minister. Over the past few years, the number of students
>receiving the exemption has grown dramatically to close to 30,000.

>The IDF itself petitioned the court to leave the exemption and the
>status quo due to concern over the difficulties in absorbing the
>Haredim. Nevertheless, the High Court ruled the exemption was illegal
>and gave the Knesset one year to pass legislation on the issue. If not,
>the High Court itself will decide on the Yeshiva student enlistment.
