heh... at Maryland, the legend is that the bronze statue of our Fierce
Aquatic Animal Mascot Testudo (located on his pedestal in front of the
library) will sprout wings and fly.
my older brother graduated from maryland this past spring and i wanted
very badly to affix a pair of wings to testudo in his honour... except...
i have no confirmation one way or another.
at least, i didn't until after he graduated. bummer.
