        THE BEER WITCH PROJECT

        On August 27, 1999, a group of halfminds hiked into the
Yellowwood Forest area of Indiana in search of beer on the night of a
full moon.

        They were never seen sober again.

Directions:

[NOTE: Not at all the same part of the forest as where the hash hared
by Dr. Dicklittle and Lost in Place started. This forest is
huge. Don't go to where that hash started and try to find us on
foot. You will never be seen again.]

Short directions: Head east out of Bloomington, toward Nashville, on
SR46 (Third Street). After 8 miles, you will see SCARCE OFAT ROAD --
this is not it. A couple of hundred yards later, turn left on Jackson
Creek Road. After 1.3 miles (always going straight -- never right),
just before the dam, SCARCE OFAT trailhead will be on your left.

Detailed Jackson Creek Road directions, with exact Jackson Creek Road
milemarks (so your relatives won't be able to complain that it was our
fault you went missing): You just keep going straight. 0.5 miles after
you get on Jackson Creek Road, there will be a house on your left. Go
straight. At 0.7 miles, there will be a dilapidated barn. Go
straight. After 1.2 miles (or, as we say in Indiana, "1.2 mile"),
there will be a right turn, which was the way to the last Yellowwood
hash. DON'T turn right. Go straight. At 1.3 miles, there will be
another right turn. Don't take it, either. Go straight. 50 yards
later, there will be HIGH KING TRAILHEAD on your left ("High
king"... get it? We didn't make that up, but you can use it.). THAT is
not it. But 100 yards later, also on your left is SCARCE OFAT
TRAILHEAD. This is it! If you continued going straight, you would hit
the earthen wall of the reservoir, and when it got dark, witches would
come to suck your eyeballs out.
