September in Bloomington, IN. College students meandering through a maze of buildings and classrooms. Vibrant young minds fill the hallowed halls with laughter and a jocular nature that exhibits their youthful spirits. Aaah, higher education. And then....there is People's Park. A site of urban decay that welcomes Bloomington's prodigal children. A motley collection of the counter-culture and counter-intelligence, nestled but a stone's throw from the ivory covered walls of Indiana University. Sounds like a GREAT place to start the HASH! What: IU Ready to Hash Hash! Where: Peoples Park When: Saturday Sept. 4 Time: 4:00 p.m. Cost: $3.00 (CHEAP!) Hares: Red Hot Chili Pecker & Sloppy Seconds Directions: From 37 south, turn left onto the 45/46 bypass. Then turn right onto College Avenue (this should be two stop lights after turning onto the bypass. Go south on College until you come to the Bloomington Courthouse. Take a left on Kirkwood Ave. People's Park is located on the corner of Kirkwood and Dunn. There should be free parking on the street. Or you can park in the A lot next to the Von Lee theatre...its free on the weekend. Look for Hashers feeding the homeless cheap beer! ON ON! rhcp For more info on hashing, e-mail White Lightning at jbranigi@indiana.edu or check out http://www.half-mind.com
