Hard Licker Hash BFH3 Hash #60 [Last one anyone counted was #35! We paid Arthur Andersen $50,000 out of hash cash to figure this out.] Saturday, September 18 4:00pm Parking lot of Marsh, north of the bypass $3 (cheap!) Hares: Dr. Dicklittle (for when your RX says "small") and Cunning Linguist "Is that a bottle of gin in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" Our forefathers (Four fathers??? Has Mommy explained why you have so many "uncles"?) were the Kuala Lumpur Hash House Harriers of the 1930s, who hashed in the Malaysian jungle, much as we hash, except they laid trail with paper instead of flour. And, they drank gin instead of beer. In the spirit of retro-mania, we will have an Olde Style Hashe, a Malay melee, which will enable the Blooming Fools to get in touch with their heritage and severely abuse their livers. For those who don't want to drink gin, there will be a non-alcoholic alternative -- beer. OK, so beer has some alcohol, but not as much as gin, you have to admit. Seriously, there will be water. (But we'll put a little gin in it.) No, really seriously, we won't put any gin in it. (Except a little.) Directions: FROM BLOOMINGTON: Take the bypass north/west. After passing Walnut and College (before getting to 37), Kinser Pike will be the first big light. Turn right onto Kinser Pike, then take the left into Marsh's parking lot. You may also just take Kinser Pike (west of Rogers) up from town and across the bypass. FROM NORTH/SOUTH/WEST OF BLOOMINGTON: From 37, get off at the 45/46 exit. One mile after the exit, at the light, take a left on Kinser Pike, and then take the first left into the parking lot of Marsh. FROM EAST OF BLOOMINGTON: You're just trying my patience. Go to Ellettsville and follow those directions. That'll teach you. Damn you. FROM MARSH: If you are already at Marsh, you don't need to go anywhere. Why the hell are you already at Marsh? What -- are you going to hash while holding groceries? I'd like to see that. Huh. --Cunning Linguist ------------------------------------------------ For more info on hashing, e-mail me at jbranigi@indiana.edu or check out http://www.half-mind.com If you have half a mind to hash, that's all you need!
