Do you want to promote a DA candidate who tells outright lies to get
elected?

Laurence "Trip" DeMuth via his campaign has knowingly lied to deceive
the voters and promote his election campaign. In his opening
announcement for candidacy which appeared 3.16.2000 Boulder Daily
Camera pgs. 1B and 8B
DeMuth spokesman Det. Steve Ainsworth claimed "We have done a lot of
cases
together and we have never lost."

This claim is completely and demonstrably false and untrue. At least
one case that Det Ainsworth and Trip DeMuth worked on together was
lost and completely dismissed by the court, due in no small part to
the incompetence and malfeasance of Trip DeMuth. (fact confirmation

The original Boulder Daily Camera reporter, Christopher Anderson, was
asked to follow up on this error shortly after it was published.
Christopher Anderson did have a subsequent conversation with Trip
DeMuth about the false and untrue
claim made by his spokesman Ainsworth and Trip DeMuth refused to

Apparently Mr. DeMuth's claimed high ethical standards can be waived
when it comes to his political campaign and deceiving voters about
his rather pathetic
performance as an assistant prosecutor.
