Mickey Rowe reminded us re: Klingon anatomy... MR> dual supportive/protective structure Sorry! Got you started and you made my point admirably: one could scoop up a handful of dirt, point to it, and make nearly any educational point (s)he chose (if (s)he planned ahead). So the fellow who started this thread wants to use Star Trek instead of a handful of dirt. Let him do it IF he knows where he's going with it. YOU do a good job with it! AND.. maybe organ redundancy in large animals is not realistic on the implied scale of a Klingon - I wouldn't know why - offer me some extra credit and I'll go do some research and find out if there are some credible reasons why. Branch-to-thread: What about redundancy in communication systems? I suppose it depends on what kind of science class you've got before you can entertain this kind of divergence of topics. EOM - I won't pursue this like a Ferrenghi (spelling?) :-) === * Freddie 1.2 * ----- The Trainwreck, Taipei, Taiwan ----- -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!6!720!921!John.Crull Internet: John.Crull@f921.n720.z6.fidonet.org
