Here in Montana, the problems with agencies not providing items on the the transition IEP is also a concern. Our state department has suggested that another IEP be called when it becomes apparent that the agency is not going to provide the services...and the IEP be re-written to reflect the change. This helps get the school off the hook, so to speak...at least that is my understanding. I think that as time goes on the agencies will be required to be accountable. Soozi P.S. One suggestion in our huge state has been to develop interagency agreements...these seem to work in our cities....but the large rural population does not benefit. Agencies such as VocRehab cover as many as 8-10 counties which is a huge area....probably 50,000 square miles...and thus our services in rural areas are quite limited. -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!3400!17!Soozi.Miller Internet: Soozi.Miller@f17.n3400.z1.fidonet.org
