I'm really not too sure what you're talking about, but I agree with one thing: most "educators" in the institutions of education are as dry, rigid and un-inspiring as the very walls of the institutions themselves. In my books, "learning" is a process which must involve the "whole" person, not just a specialized fragment of their cerebral hemispheres. Humans are not "robots" meant to be programmed to perform boring tasks or even lifeless calculations like the sterile amber moniter I'm staring into right now. We're very much more... and all that "more" is just waiting there to be explored. Our spirits, emotions and psyches are intimately and delicately tied together to embrace the most fantastic and far-reaching sensations and perceptions in life. All else is a mindless chore, and a waste of precious Human Time. For all else, we may as well be dogs performing in a circus, or "educators" barfing up packaged rhetoric to be assimilated like junk food and barfed up again at exam time. Life is for Celebration, and true education teaches us how to Celebrate, how to recapture the whole of our spirits... before our little Timex watches peeter out for the last time... See you in the hot seat... -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!140!51.0!Gary.Bandzmer Internet: Gary.Bandzmer@p0.f51.n140.z1.fidonet.org
