Dennis if you are contacting an IBM BBS then choose the non graphic mode ansii and yes you can upload and download. Have the file you want to upload ready then press f1 it will ask for the file name and it will upload it. It pauses for a few seconds and then you will see machine language characters flowing across the upper half of the screen when it is finished it will prompt you and return you to the BBS. If you want to download have a formatted disk in the drive, press f3, again supply the file name and it will send it to you letting you know when it is finished. Be careful with the underline in a file name you can't easily reproduce it on the 64 so stay away from file names with that in it. Remember that you can only use 64 stuff no point in downloading ibm files they won't work. One other way to do it is to use the buffer by loading the file into the buffer and then sending the buffer to the BBS. This is good for text files but it has a memory limitation. You can also use the buffer to capture the material from the BBs, save it and view it later, but if you don't save it to disk it will be lost. Guess that's it for now.
