PM> I am interested in hearing what you might suggest in terms of Electronics PM>curriculum for Junior and Senior High School students. We are considering Paul, I was interested in your message regarding electronics curriculum development for Junior and Senior high school students. Within the last 15 years electronics has become one of the "basics" of our workplaces and cultures. Yet, I have not seen a corresponding increase in the number or percentage of student hours in electronics. Few schools have successfully added electronics and those who have electronics often find low enrollments. So, your curriculum project is a critical one. I am not an electronics teacher nor technician, but I have seen electronics classes from elementary to college. From what I have seen, how you handle, "What to do about Math?" will be your most critical question. There is plenty of electronics instructional material, but Math will make or break your program. Using math to teach electronics will drive away novice students. Using electronics to teach math will limit how much electronics you can teach upper level students. Please keep me posted. Some high schools have traveling electronics labs, I would like to help them with what to teach. รพ SLMR 2.1a รพ -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!285!101!Jerry.Magorian Internet: Jerry.Magorian@f101.n285.z1.fidonet.org
