Hello Dennis! 29 Dec 92, Dennis Shepard writes to Lew Scholl: DS> a line across the screen but most everything else works. Do you DS> have information on where they still service BLUE CHIP drives? do you DS> know if the structure inside is the same as the 1541 or 1541-II? Did you DS> have problems of the drive not saving? Well that's about it just the DS> Monitor and the drive. Yes, I did have problems with the old Blue Chip saving. I don't think that they are greatly different from a 1541 - at least as far as the mechanics and moving parts are concerned. If you are really having problems finding someone to repair it, you might try looking in old issues of Compute's Gazette in the library (- OR - if it is still in print, then find a new issue). Also if there is an Amiga dealer in your area, he probably knows someone who repairs stuff for the old 64's. I'm hoping you'll get it al figured out. I don't think it should be too expensive.
