Last year, our school system developed and adopted a comprehensive plan for the use of technology for instruction. Because it was felt that teachers would use technology in the classroom only if they were proficient in its use, a primary emphasis of the plan is teacher training. One of the objectives is the establishment of levels of competence in the use of technology for teachers and other staff. We are now attempting to develop a list of competencies and are interested in seeing similar lists that are presently in use in other school districts or are used as part of teacher training programs in colleges. Is there anyone out there who can help? Katie Wallet Spotsylvania County Schools Spotsylvania, Virginia kwallet@vdoe386.vak12ed.edu
