Hello Dennis! 07 Jan 93, Dennis Shepard writes to Lew Scholl: DS> If it is the same, in the asspects of moving parts and structure, then DS> maybe we will try an alignment program(1541) and also use a head cleaner. Well I dont think it was the drive that made it As far as I know they are similar enough so the alignment programs will work. I believe that I tried something like that some time ago and it didn't do the job, but YES go ahead and try it. It can't hurt it any. I seriously doubt that they make Blue Chips anymore because C-64's are going out of style and ARE out of production. I got it through an ad in Compute's Gazette magazine in about 1986. Does the Blue Chip manual give an address you could try to contact? Did you ever try to find a local Amiga de aler to find out if they could refer you to anyone? Whoever repairs 1541's should be able to fix it. I believe that I threw out all my old Compute's Gazette mags. Otherwise I would be glad to send them. -- uucp: uunet!m2xenix!puddle!319.24!Lew.Scholl Internet: Lew.Scholl@p24.f319.n105.z1.fidonet.org
