Hi Clarence,
I'm in Massachusetts. I don't know if there are guilds around here or not. At the public library they have a pamphlet that tells about all the storytellers, puppet groups, singers, etc. That is where I located the group that came to my pre-school.
The New England Puppet group I told you about is out of Amherst or Northampton I think. They were quite large a few years ago with lots of productions. Maybe they still are but since my kids are now in middle school I don't pay as much attention to the puppetry area.
We also had a retired gentleman come and do a presentation at our elementary school with Indonesian puppets. They were fantastic and what a beautiful presentation he did.
What kind of puppets do you use. My favorite are the life size puppets where the puppeteers dress all in black and operate them. I can't remember the official name for them. Maybe you could jog my memory.
