SCI-MAT FELLOWSHIPS ($3500 FOR 100 AWARDS) This is an awards program for
science and mathematics teachers designed to promote interdisciplinary teaching
and learning. With a Sci=Mat Fellowship , you will have the opportunity to
spend six weeks of independent study linking the sciences and humanities during
the summer of 1993 in a setting of your choice. Eligibility:teachers of
mathematics and the sciences in grades 6-12 having at least three years of
experience. Contact: CBE (708) 876-5782 for an application
package. Deadline: January 8, 1993
 
Arts Education Fellowships ($3000 for 33 awards) The Council
for Basic Education (CBE) offers K-12 teachers of the arts the opportunity to
compete in a program supporting self directed independent study during four to
eight weeks in the Summer of 1993. Contact: call (708) 876-5782 for full
application package. Descriptive flyer will be sent.
Deadline: January 29, 1993.
