On Saturday the 10th of October 1992, a Japanese lady named Hiromi Honda arrived at the Dunedin airport at 2.00pm. She stayed at the McTainsh house for three weeks. She is 32
 but compared to a 32
year old lady in New Zealand she looks younger and very short. She is very nice and kind and never gets angry, where you take her she always takes her origami paper and makes something. For Christmas she will be going to Invercargill with the McTainsh's. Hiromi works at a life insurance company in Nagasaki. She lives with her parents, she has one sister and a niece and nephew. During the time she was here, she showed us how to do origami and string games and
taught us about the Japanese life style. She was at the school every day. I enjoyed having Hiromi stay it was a
very good experence. She has now gone to another school and will be in New Zealand for nine months.
