I sent a previous message concerning the current problem cycle.  However, after careful thought, I have determined that we should continue with the current problems for two more weeks to allow everyone to participate.  I realize with the holidays that many did not have the chance to solve these problems.  So, the final and absolute last date for Cycle 3 will be Feb 5.  This should allow everyone time to solve and submit their solutions to Problem Cycle 3.  For those of you who may be disappointed with the 
extension, may I suggest that you involve your students in a good discussion with another team or individual working at the same grade level, comparing and discussing solutions found.  This can be a great deal of fun as the TAS kids showed us with the "hot dog" problem from Cycle 1.  So, once again.....Cycle 3 submissions must be submitted by February 5, 1993.  No submissions will be accepted after that date and a new problem cycle will begin the following Monday, February 8.  I hope everyone is o.k. with 
this and as always I'm open to discussion on this!  However, I want everyone to rest assured that the dates will stand to allow you time to get your submissions in!  Have fun!  Carol
