PROCEDURE:
.
You have been given samples from each of the pens. They are
labelled A, B, C.
.
1. Fill a glass with water.
.
2. Hold strip A so that the ink sample is at the bottom.
.
3. Without letting the dot hit, touch the end of the strip
.  to the water. DO NOT LET THE INK SAMPLE TOUCH THE WATER
.  DIRECTLY. You will notice that the strip begins to soak
.  up the water. It will eventually reach the pen sample.
.
4. Hold the strip in the water  until the water creeps up
.  past the ink sample.
.
.  DESCRIBE WHAT IS HAPPENING____________________________

5. Lay strip A on a paper towel to dry.
