Hi-
I'm interested in Global Village News

1. Jeff Benedict
2. High School (9-12)
3. Chimacum High School
4. Box 277 Chimacum, Wa. 98325

Chimacum High School is a small rural high school about 50 miles from
Seattle, Wa. Our main industries are fishing, logging and dairy farming. Our
area has many concerns with environmental issues which may be interesting
for others in the world.

Our community has a Usenet site which, while not sponsored by the school, is
open for students to use. It is fangio.wa.com and is two hops off the
Internet, which makes our service reliable and fast.

I am very interested in being included in this project...

Hi, Chris, I am potentially interested, but I would like to know more,
such as:
        - the age level of the participants
        - how the messages are sent to all the participants (K12?)
        - the typed of subjects covered , in general terms

I teach World Geography in a public h.s. in San Antonio, TX, students
aged 15-17..(grades 9-12) We have the potential for k12 on our state
network, Tenet (Texas Education Network),
but it's not yet activated because they won't do so unless there is
a moderator.... I have volunteered to be the moderator, and am awaiting
word on when they will do moderator training... in the meantime, I have
to make connections to k12 through Cleveland Freenet.. You can email
me at either jmayer@tenet.edu or bg959@Cleveland.Freenet.edu.
Thanks.

Title: Global Village News

Hi Carol,
I'm the "computer teacher" for grades K-8 in a school of 600 (K-12), and
am looking for things the kids might find exciting. Your project sounds
excellent, so if you want us please keep me informed about how to
participate in GVN. I'll keep an eye out here in the Teachers Channel.
Thanks! ...Tom
