The daily tides project is an extension of a science unit in 4th 
grade , Oceans.  Part of the unit concerns tides.  I have students 
use the daily newspaper to collect tidal data for one week.  When 
the data has been collected, discussion of patterns and predictions 
occur.  I am looking for some elementary classes who live near 
coastlines to exchange this data.  This short term project would 
consist of one week's tidal data (I'm thinking about the last of 
Jan or early Feb to take advantage of a full moon) and exchange data 
on the K-12 Network.  Anybody interested?
