Thanks for starting this Ian, I am interested. Hi Roland, I have had some discussions with your colleague Paul Chandler already. I am very interested in the idea of making comms as accessible to students as word processing by networking and using the POINT idea as you have done. I will be teaching computing next year at Paralowie R-12 in South Oz (new assignment for me) and I have just found out that they have a Novell network setup there but having some difficulties with it. So I should be able to do something useful there with the help of K12.* My question is a rather general one. I have had no experience in running a Novell network but a *lot* of people say: "(ibm) networks are not easy" Is that true? Why is it that they are not easy? What are the main sorts of things that go wrong with them? What is the best way to learn how to run them without muckups etc. etc.?? Hope this is not too general but it would help prepare me for 1993 and may be of interest to others as well.
