RThe Internet communicates via gateways with other networks
such as CompuServe, MCI Mail, BITNET, FIDONet, UUNET, and USENET. The
Internet has several component networks (which themselves include other
networks):S

The question becomes: how do I send a message to someone on Compuserve?
Example:
I would like to send a message to J.Hodgdon
his compuserve address is : 70411,63

I am familiar with the user@site form for other message addresses,, but
this one I do not know. Anyone Help?

Most of what you listed is addressable in the form shown below:

Compuserve: xxxxx,xxxx@compuserve.com
BITNET: user@host.BITNET
Fidonet:	has its own similar format (eg. user@a.b.c.fido.org)

UUNET: is a site, not a network
Usenet: is really not a separate network - it describes the set of
		hosts that carry network news

Someplace there's a document about how to send from anyplace to anyplace,
but I don't know where it is or how to get it.

Try 70411,63@compuserve.com

Most places which are accessible somehow via Internet have some means of
recognizing addresses of the format user@site.

Try 70411.63@compuserve.com

The comma won't get past the mailer so the dot is used instead.
