Reference to: (http://thefungus.wordpress.com/2008/04/02/vancouver-dtes-hotel-closures-picking-up/) It's too bad about the Gomez Place once owned by Alex who hung around the wrong crowd, before the "city" took over. There was nothing wrong with the building, 25 years is really not old for a building, it had a good computerized system, which is NOT what the "city" wants, money is too easy to trace in organized systems, and the city seems to favor some Vlad The Impaler Arbitration to feed their confused money laundering ego. The Lookout Society has done a good job in taking responsibility for the homeless and organizing RENT systems funded by BC Housing and others.. A lot of the city restrictions, like no basement rentals due to ceiling height laws, has left many potential workers as homeless....homeless ppl have a problem finding secure employment as labor, artists, and other markets... Apparently BC Housing is gutting out all the basements and leaving them totally empty, which leaves about 10 square km's of space that can be used for homeless sheltering..... -- Triad Productions-Fantalla~EZine~ParaNovel National Association of Assault Research (http://*remove*tarbitch.balder.prohosting.com/local.html)
