The fact remains, though that smoking and non-smoking sections are few and far between in many (most?) parts of Europe. (I read on soc.culture.france not too long ago that Paris has a no-smoking ordinance, but it's rarely enforced) Dogs are (were?) allowed on the Paris Metro. . . .
