Looking for a Vietnamese cookbook, web site, or on-line VN restaurant menu with a large selection of desserts. In Minneapolis, Minnesota we have a sizable Asean immigrant population and deli's and shops with desserts. The ones I am especially looking for are with assorted fruits, cooked starches / roots, combined with seaweeds, coconut milk and sugar. Also looking for baked goods (French influence) and candy. Yumm, good. Have researched Amazon.com and have read Anh Thu Stuart's "Vietnamese Cooking--Recipes my Mother Taught Me," but she alludes to the fact that VN desserts are a subject for an entire new cookbook!! I have also seen the big Si Valley pho web sites, Nam, Hoa, Xe Lua, and Saigon. Phil, Minneapolis, Silicon Tundra, plee@orbis.net also xposted in ba.food and alt.food.asian
