How far are you willing to drive? The best breakfast in the area (by Jonathon
Gold's account) is 'The Pines' on the Pearblossom Highway in Palmdale.
Surely they have the best fresh fruit hotcakes in the area.
Villa Basque in Rosamond is terrific. The pickled beef tongue and lamb
chops (ask for the garlic sauce) are to die for!
(This reminds me-- I need to post a summary of basque restaurants soon!)
